イリノイ州政府のビルで、世界初の省エネルギービルとして建てられたのが、このジェームス・R・トンプソン・センター。

Kateは大学卒業後から去年あたりまで、Illinois governmentに勤めていたので、ど、その間はここで働いていたと言っていた。

全面がガラスで覆われていてかなり個性的なビル。中には入らなかったけど、壁での仕切りが全くないのが特徴なんだとか。

外にあるモザイクっぽいオブジェも印象的。
